  AMD announced a definitive agreement to acquire Taalas, an AI inference silicon specialist founded in 2023 and headquartered in Toronto, Canada. Taalas' technology optimizes inference dataflows and reduces compute and memory bottlenecks in general-purpose architectures. AMD plans to integrate Taalas' technology into its accelerator roadmap and develop system-level solutions alongside AMD Instinct GPUs to complement its full-stack AI platform.
