Ten ERC Starting Grants awarded to TUM researchers
The Technical University of Munich has been awarded ten ERC Starting Grants from the European Research Council in the latest funding round. Each grant provides up to €1.5 million. Since 2007, TUM researchers have secured a total of 280 ERC Grants. The ten projects cover research in life sciences, mathematics, medicine, and quantum technologies, including studies on multiple sclerosis, tropical forest carbon dynamics, urban biodiversity and human well-being, quantum communication, post-quantum cryptography, and gene therapy for inherited heart diseases.
