Prof. Andreas Meyer appointed Scientific Director of FRM II
Prof. Andreas Meyer, a physicist and TUM alumnus, will become Scientific Director of the Research Neutron Source Heinz Maier-Leibnitz (FRM II) starting 1 October 2026, succeeding Prof. Christian Pfleiderer. Meyer has served as German Associate Director of the Institut Laue-Langevin (ILL) in Grenoble since 2021 and is an expert in neutron scattering in materials science. He will serve a five-year term leading Germany's most powerful research reactor.
