ETH Zurich awards contract for new HWS building on Hönggerberg campus
ETH Zurich has awarded the design-and-build contract for its new HWS building to a team led by Losinger Marazzi in collaboration with Itten+Brechbühl, MAK architecture, and Uniola Landscape Architecture. The building will span approximately 64,000 square metres and create around 1,600 workspaces for staff and just under 1,500 for students, housing the Department of Computer Science and the ETH Library. The contract is valued at around 310 million Swiss francs (including VAT), with an additional 140 million Swiss francs for fit-outs and project-related costs. Construction is scheduled to begin in 2028, with the building planned to be handed over in 2032.
