ETH Zurich enrollment grows to 3,800 new bachelor students
ETH Zurich reports approximately 3,800 new bachelor's degree students enrolled, up from about 3,600 the previous year. Mechanical Engineering remains the most popular discipline with around 800 incoming students, up 10 percent, while Computer Science enrollment declined 15 percent to roughly 350 students, and Electrical Engineering and Information Technology surged 27 percent. Master's degree programs received 8,200 applications, an 18 percent increase, with about 1,900 new master's students expected to begin studies. Women comprise approximately 35 percent of students, and about 80 percent of new bachelor's students hold a Swiss Matura.
