ESA and Pokémon launch Europe-wide exhibition and space mission
The European Space Agency and The Pokémon Company International launched a collaboration to celebrate World Space Week 2026. A Pikachu plush toy travelled to the International Space Station during ESA astronaut Sophie Adenot's mission, spending 67 days in orbit from 11 April to 17 June 2026 and completing approximately 1040 orbits. The collaboration includes a temporary exhibition at ESA sites and major European museums from September 2026 to April 2027, exclusive merchandise, and a special Pokémon GO event running from 4 October 2026 to 30 April 2027 at participating science and space museums across Europe.
