ESA and EU partner with Museo Galileo on exhibition
The European Space Agency, the European Commission, and Italy's Museo Galileo have partnered to create an exhibition exploring connections between astronomer Galileo Galilei and Europe's Galileo satellite navigation system. An agreement was signed on 25 June 2026, with the exhibition set to open in December 2027. The exhibition will combine historical instruments and documents from the museum's collection with audiovisual productions, interactive experiences, and technological equipment from ESA, tracing the history from Galileo's observations to the modern satellite navigation system.
